I JUST LOVE THE PICTURE OF THIS BUICK...........

Recommended Posts

I love this shot of my Limited coming to it's new home from Cleveland!

1958 Buick Limited - November 1980 - pic1 - Copy.jpg

(If there would be one issue, it would be that it took Dad's Meteor Wagon (Ford Product) to do the job :rolleyes:.)

Notice the front bumper had to be taken off to clear the trailer fenders.:o

Yee-Gads! Now that's a load! Hope the poor Merc wagon had a tranny cooler. Probably not though. How many miles was it hauled?

Short answer;

no trany cooler

approx 400 miles round trip (all in one day)

But..... did the job. ;)

And remember the HANG OVER THE SEAT  BACK CHILDS SEAT WITH PLASTIC STEERING WHEEL AND HORN?

Would the police go for that TODAY?, I think not.

There were FIVE of us kids, four in back, one in front middle in our RM.  Us in back slept with two on seat, two on floor with heads resting on seat cushion as our pillow.

Dim  good ole days, AND WE SURVIVED, Thankfully.

Even todays car seats can not guarantee safety.  My daughter in law was in an accident, with our grandson firmly strapped into his brand new seat, and apparently his head hit the side of the child seat and he had a concussion.
