Re post 2589, I love that custom, especially the different treatments on the front and rear bumpers, going with the flow.    Rather unique.

Really MrEarl.

Custom paint, bumpers painted.

Lowered, custom wheels.

Exhaust out thru the bumper.

Shaved door, trunk handles, emblems.

No chrome.

That is with out looking at interior or engine bay.

If that showed up at a Buick National it would be in the modified class.

I found a couple mor pics of the '50.

Looks like it wouldn't even make it in the modified class as it is powered by a Chev.

Just to prove I've got a little bit of sense left, here is what I see as post 2589. Apparently the post count for a moderator is different as they continue to see all posts, even deleted ones. So you can see why it was of the utmost importance to state I was not seeing a custom, eh?

and yea brother John, I rather like that custom too, until it was revealed it has a Chevy engine that is....

Are you glad that you don't have to drive on ice and in snow with tires like this anymore?

Wow!  This is also known as Madison Ave in Albany, NY.  About 40 miles from my home.

I would only be guessing if I said San Fran, but looking at the street car tracks and hills that would also be my guess.

No info with the picture.

Thanks for the apprectiation Pilgrim65.

I would say it is San Francisco. From Google Maps I would say that is the same building on the corner of Powell and Pine Streets...

I am amused the Dicks Liquors and Fine Foods in the first photo is now identified as E & E Fine Foods. How many businesses have survived that long, although apparently under new ownership after that many years.

Pilgrim, not '53 for sure. Thinking a '51, probably a Super.
