Guest arufi
My brake system is acting like I have a leaking Master Brake Cylinder (step on the brake, and occasionally it has some additional travel at the end of the brake "push"). My mechanic seems to think I need to replace the Master Brake Cylinder, but we are unable to find one. Any help would be appreciated.TonyTC owner in Hampton Roads, VA
Guest My TC Toy
Are you sure it is not caused by air in the lines giving you a soft feeling peddle?Have you bled the system? If you have not and are going to try, make sure you follow the proper procedure, it can be dangerous.
ghostymosty
Normal brake system symptoms do not apply to the Teves master cylinder setup. Front brakes bleed like other brakes but the rear won't bleed without the system turned on and foot on brake pedal.

Guest My TC Toy
Ghostly, you are not totally correct, air in the lines will still give you a more spongy feel. And you have to be very careful bleeding the rear cylinders because there is a hell of a lot of pressure in there.
