Guest Lark Parker
I realize that finding one of these gas gage sending units is not likely. If you have one that works and want to sell -- I need it. Does anyone know of another make car that used this same Auto Lite two wire unit? The one I have is a 30 ohm unit. nvonada
I did find one for my 41. Not cheap but it was NOS. Keep looking and one will turn up. How is yours different from the 41-46?
auburnseeker
I just cleaned out a studebaker Dealership. Purchasing about 14 sending units, I'll check and see if any of them are correct. Does anyone know the Stewart warner number painted on them? I have a couple with only the SW number on them as well.
auburnseeker
I checked today and I don't have any with the right part number on them. I still have a few loose ones though. Do you have yours out now? Could you post a photo?

Do you have yours out now? Could you post a photo?I will post a photo or two when I figure out how to do that. The gage is apart now and I see no reason that it didn't work after cleaning with electrical contact cleaner. But it doesn't work.A photo of the guts will be included for educational purposes.I appreciate your looking in stock. In the meantime we are proceeding with using a sender and gage pair from a 54 Studebaker. That will give me something to use until the correct ones are rounded up.
