16 valve Turbo blown - How do I remove it from the engine?

My mechanic says he can't get to the bolts on the turbo on this 16 valve without disassembling the top half of the engine. Does anyone have good instructions for removal of the turbo without this removal of the top of the engine?

haha, good luck, lots of penetrate and from underneath with extensions and swivels. or remove engine and trans at once nad change and put back in.
