WHAT'S MY CAR WORTH TV Show on 1957 Roadmaster

Does anyone else have a TV package that gets a station that has a show called WHAT'S MY CAR WORTH? I love that show. They had a nice, virtually perfect 1957 Roadmaster Convertible on this weeks show from a seller I believe named Howard Schwartz. That name sounds familiar.

The car received a complete, perfect restoration from a tired red and black car. It appeared to be painted off white with red/black (and chrome) interior. The 2 hosts could find virtually nothing wrong with the car and both the owner and one host estimated a $125,000 auction sale.

The best part of this show in my opinion, is they drive the cars so a viewer can get a virtual test drive of the car.

The car sold for $117,500. From inference, I believe the seller broke even or lost money on the car. Anyway, anybody else see that show and have a comment or am I the only one with a DirecTV package with the show?

Bryan,

I have seen this show too, albeit only a couple of times. It is either on Speed Channel or Velocity thru my local cable provider. I enjoy watching it when I happen to catch it. Seems a little more real world than the other "reality" automotive TV shows which depict riduculous restorations or buy/sell/flip themes.

It's a great show and I watch regularly. It is on velocity channel and is usually followed by Chasing Classic Cars which is also interesting. I saw the episode with the 57 Buick and I would sure like to have that car! I think it sold at a bargain price for how nice it is and what it would take to restore to that level.

Yes I think Velocity and I enjoy some of the other shows too.

That 57 Roadmaster, everyone agreed was a #1 car. I don't have $117,500 so it's hard for me to place in perspective but I think it was worth it and shows a benchmark for 50's Roadmaster convertibles.

I would think a 58 Limited in similar condition might bring $150,000 and of course Skylarks might surpass that price.

The shows I have seen- only one has been the 3 guys haggling, all the others - the auction has decided price and seldom does it go over projections. Soft (or back to reality) market -
