Need help identifying car

My mom gave me this photo today of she and my dad.

I'm trying to determine what the make, model and year of the car is.

Any ideas? She said my dad always drove Willy's when they first met.

I think the photo was taken around 1945.

1941 or 1942 Willys Americar sedan.

I'm looking for another restoration project and thought maybe I'd look for one of these.

They probably have all been chopped and modified but it's fun looking.

They don't tend to modify the four door cars. You may find one easier than a coupe.
