jonlabree
I know that some of you have polished your bumpers to look like chrome as I have done, But what is the pefered way to keep them looking like chromew?Jon..
Ronnie
Have you tried Mothers Mag & Aluminum Polish? I just refinished a set of Mustang wheels for My Reatta and that is what I used for the final polish on them. I'm very happy with it. If you start with a slick finish this stuff will make it look like chrome.
Guest Metricwrencher
I like those 5-spoke aluminum mags. Are they the same width and offset as the original Retreat wheels? When you get a chance, perhaps you can poster a photo with the Mustang wheels on the Reatta.
Guest Corvanti
agree with Ronnie on the "mothers aluminum polish". i've used the stuff for years on different projects. i removed the polish with a "mothers power ball", then buffed. finished with a microfiber towel.i did this in june, and the bumpers are still looking good. Ronnie
Welcome to the forum Metricwrencher! The Mustang wheels are wider and have a different offset than the original Reatta wheel. I can't remember the wheel specs right now. They tires I have are 225/55-16. There are no clearance problems with them.Just as info: The Mustang wheels don't have the standard 5 lug, 115mm bolt pattern used by the Buick Reatta. They are a 114.3mm. Although they have worked well for me for over a year, they are not recommended for the Reatta by some members of this forumSorry but I don't have a photo of the car since the wheels have been polished but here is an older photo of it with the Mustang wheels. DAVES89
Jon here is your first post. I would have responded with a finish product, except that I have not done anything to the adonized finish on my bumpers...
