Just bought a Sun 600

Don't have pulse amplifier but was told a Ford DuraSparkII ign. module

can be hooked up to fire off the strobe light.

Is this true?

How can this work?

Sun machine only puts out about 8 volts at dist. lead.

HEI needs at least 12 to fire off coil and plugs

Can you just hook up to the pick up coil green and white leads to the Dura and if so,

how?

Have an HEI from a '76 Corvette in machine now to set up curve

Thanks

Well, it looks like you can use a Ford Dura Spark control box to run electronic distributors. You need to supply 12 volts to run the distributor and the Dura Spark control box. See link to HAMB post. The link to ctci doesn't work, but ctci stands for Classic Thunderbird Club International. Pertronix distributors do not need the the Dura Spark control box just the 12 volts to run it.
