1953 Allard K2 331 Cadillac Convertible

1953 Allard K3 Roadster - One of 62 Produced -I found this on The Burt Collection's website. This is Allard K3 Chassis number 6017 up for sale. This Allard is in great shape. The paint and interior do need some work, but the body is very solid and has no rust whatsoever. The car lived in California for much of its life and was well taken care of there. It sports a Caddy 331 V8, which is in good running condition, bar a recent issue with the timing chain. The rest of the mechanicals are in good working condition. The fuel tanks and hoses were dipped and replaced last year, so the fuel in them is good and clean. It was driven periodically last summer. This car features two 4-barrel holly carbs, a De-Dion rear end, and a 4-speed manual gearbox. The drum brakes have recently been serviced and function properly.

There is no top, or top frame included with this car. The only thing included is a replacement engine turned dash board.

Allard enthuistes would know that this is just one of 62 cars produced, and of that only a handful remain. It will be a great project for someone who wants to restore an Allard, or just modify one for vintage racing or driving.

A really interesting car but it is not exactly a Cadillac and certainly not (nor should be) a CCCA Full Classic!
