Gary_Ash
I'm trying to supply a friend with a set of 4-carb aluminum intakes and the carbs, as used on the Indy car engines. I need a couple of restorable EX-23 carbs, tag 6-62A from 1935-37 Dictators. Anyone got a spare? I'm also interested in some cores with decent bowl covers and throttle shafts with plates (usually stamped 18-1/2). I have a couple of carbs with the linkage arm broken off from the end of the throttle shaft - no spares to be found!I do have more sets of the replica aluminum castings and linkage parts available. They fit the small straight 8 (226/250 cu in), will probably also fit the larger 337 cu in straight 8.Does anyone know why owners would have drilled a vent hole in the bowl covers? Several of the carbs I have were modified this way, some with big sheet metal screws in the holes. See 2nd carb from left in photo below.
