MarrsCars
Jay Leno's Garage featured a cool demo for a new process to replicate chrome more accurately than ever before. I just posted this article with more details and a link to the video, I can imagine this being quite useful to many of us on this forum. If anyone has actually used this process before I'd be very curious how it came out, did you do it yourself, durability, etc.?Moto Arigato: Finally! MCHinson
I think this discussion may provide you with some information that has already been posted regarding the process:http://forums.aaca.org/f120/chrome-spray-systems-283520.html
MarrsCars
Thank you! (I didn't realize this was essentially a double post, I did a search but only saw first page of results so thought I was in the clear.)
Guest Bill Miller
Thanks for posting this. Absolutely fascinating and I'm going to order some of this stuff for trim piece applications. Bill

BillBe sure to read the cautions in the thread Matt (MCHinson) linked here before you do. This stuff is not the harmless panacea the way some people picture it. Guest Bill Miller
Well, I'm reasonably sure I wouldn't want to drink or inhale the stuff or paint my skin with it but for non-show quality driver car applications for small trim pieces it seems like something to try out. I wouldn't want to plate myself either.Bill
