Guest Randy Hagan
Ok you Rambler nuts, I have a question for you. My 1965 American with a 196, 2 bbl carb, auto, with A/C broke the throttle cable yesterday. Right behind the gas pedal the cable broke. Is there another cable to replace it with, like a GM cable that is more readily available? I am not having much luck finding the right cable.
Guest Randy Hagan
Fixed it today. I used a bicycle brake cable from the local bike shop and some ingenuity. Used the exisiting cable shield and fed the new cable thru it. Just ground the end with the keeper on it to fit the U bracket and used a cable pincher for the other end. Works like a champ. If you do find a replacement cable, I would appreciate the info. Thanks Again!
