31 HUPMOBILE Posted September 5, 2012 Share Posted September 5, 2012 I bought a 19301 parts car and the drive shaft was cut and welded to this transmission between the original transmission and the rear axle. I don't think the ring gear is original to the trans? I think the intension was to make a “doodle bug”. I think the shift rails are stuck in two gears but I can turn the ring gear enough that I think it may be repairable. I also have the shifter for it. They used a section of Model A frame rail for a crossmember to hold it in place.
