Guest ambr607
I purchased a complete kit, upper and lower ball joints, tie rod ends, upper and lower control arm bushings. The lower ball joints (press in) are a hair smaller than the old ones and you can push them in/out by hand. I've tried two sets, both too small. The lower control arm bushings came with nice grease boots, the upper control arm "seals" are useless rubber washers that are too loose to do any good.Anyone else faced these issues and find a supplier with correct parts? wmsue
I bought a complete rebuild kit for my 65 Electra and found out when I went to get it aligned that the lower ball joints were junk. I bought Moog replacement joints and had the alignment shop put them in. $180 for labor and all is good. I put the first set in but ran out of time to install the second set. I purchased the first set from Kanter. They have a lifetime warranty and I'm awaiting word on my return. I didn't feel safe putting another set of theirs on my car. I guess the replacement set will be sitting on my shelf for many yearsGet a Moog set of parts and you won't be sorry. Plus mine were made in the USA

wmsue
Here's a link from the AACA listing a few months ago. Not sure if it is similar to yours. wmsue
Follow CompactBC's advise or get Moog parts.Be cautious with Kanter.I just returned 2 lower ball joints to them last week (purchased them in 2009 and just installed them this April) and was told today that "they were within specs" and there was nothing wrong with them. I talked to 'Nick' in customer service. I witnessed the play in the balljoints with their product and then with the 2 Moog parts I ended up replacing them with. A difference of night and day. The car had less than 100 miles on it. I told Kanter to throw them away because I do not want them back.I will never do business with them again. So much for the lifetime guarantee they advertise
Guest ambr607
I had Rare Parts machine a pair down to the dimension I needed. Perfect fit! The car will be home this week and so will all the chrome. Time to start putting it all back together.
