Will you be driving that mini, Bob??? :D

We aare playing race day be ear, depending on weather (although so far both Saturday and Monday should be good) - at this point tix I would imagine must be bought at the door. We saved a few bucks buying in advance since the LRP folks are nice enough to sell race day tix good for either day.

Will be scouting for a bit for an MG "T" series - have seen some nice cars for sale there over the years..

I'm jealous of of you guys!

Have to stick around closer to home this weekend, myself.

Have attended in the past, though, and fully endorse what Bob has to say about the sorts of rare, unique, racebred, and similar type cars you will typically run across.

Have fun, and Steve, please let us know if any little waifs may happen to follow you home...

Had a great time! Rented a Ford Focus, what do they call those bisness card size screens on the dash? One for the radio another smack in the center above the steering wheel. I'd like to drive a baseball bat into the ear of the jerk that came up with that distraction! Good thing I had enough business cards to cover them with, and direct my attention to view through the windsheild. Bob

We went to the "Sunday in the Park" concours Sunday and the Vintage Races on Monday. Both days were excellent. On Sunday, we saw some fantastic cars both in the actual concours as well as within the "gathering of the marques" caar show on the race track.

Here are a couple pictures of a really cool '29 Stutz special we saw running all out as well as the group 44 TR-6 from Monday.

Hi Steve. We really enjoyed the weekend - there were some decent buys including a rock solid, apparently original MG TF in the swap meet area @ $16,000 - a car to consider but quite a premium over simillar MG TDs I have been seeing in simillar shape.

These guys have expanded to Friday as well, making it a four day festival. Surprised they do not have a road tour (that I am aware of anyway) for concours participants or an auction, but this is becoming quite the event - I guess it is well established at 30 years old.

I don't find the TFs quite as appealing visually--something about those faired-in headlights. The TDs were more "classic" looking. If I was shopping I'd probably skip over the TFs and go straight to the MGAs, which I think are gorgeous.

Problem is, for *me*, with any of these cars, however, is that I *don't fit* in them!!

I was at an art & automobiles festival earlier this year in New Haven, CT, and ran across this very cool MG coupe--no idea what it's called, what year it is, etc., but it was very striking:

Thanks Bob. Yep, the TF belongs to a friend of a friend, if we were serious I would work through my buddy to make an intro - But that price gets you really close to a pretty nice TD ready to go. TC would be my favorite though, still kind of researching. The TC pictured above was in Sunday's concours, and was a really nice car. Fun to see all the race prepared T series cars as well.

Of course I would appreciate any leads from your corner of the state, sir! :)

Steve, the Airline coupe may belong to Wayne Carini, I think I have seen it at his place before.
