I am new here and I qm looking for some help with my 52 Ford Mainline 6cly. starter. I have been a lifelong mechanic , but I cannot figure out how this starter comes off. HELP!

I believe starter removal is similar to the V8. Two long relatively thin 3/8" cap bolts go thru the starter body at the endplate to attach the starter to the bell housing. Just unscrew the two bolts on the starter endplate. Use care when removing the starter and try to keep the cap bolts in place so the armature doesn't come out. Once removed, place a nut on one of the bolts so that the whole starter assembly stays together. Go to Early V8 (1932-53) - The Ford Barn if you have further problems removing it.

Good luck!!!
