ol swede
The leaves here in N.E. Missouri are at their peak of fall color. The wife got some neat shots as we took the Airstream for an afternoon leg stretcher.
CHAD THOMAS
Here in the Saint Louis area we missed it by about 3 days, but we loaded the Buick up and went on about a 100 mile tour thru three counties stopping in Kimmswick for a late lunch at the Blue Owl. car performed perfectly. Sadly, no good pictures to post. all the two lane was too winding and narrow for a good picture.

auburnseeker
We got lucky in Upstate NY. I'm right below the area that got snow/Salt so the roads are still clean. I have been driving the 48 Plymouth Convertible everyday. With the heater working it's a pleasure to drive even at 32 degrees. Today was really nice and clear. I think just below 60 as well. I brought the Plymouth Home for lunch and took the Vette and the 36 Chrysler out. I wanted to swap them around in the garage so I gave my 3 year old Daughter a ride in Both. Hopefully not the last day I'll beable to use them but you never know. Atleast they fit better in the Garage the way have them now so I can put the insulation panels up for the winter. I think I cut my Garage heat bill almost in Half by using Foil faced 2 inch foam to cover my old wood garage doors inside. Hey I would rather spend the money on my cars than on heat out the door. oldcarfudd
Short answer - no. The driveway to my antique car garage is 8 inches of snow on top of solid ice.BUT!For those of you who can't wait until spring, and want to drool a bit, look up the Horseless Carriage Club website, hcca.org. Click on Discussion Forums, the red rectangle at the upper right of the home page. Then go to the tours and swap meets section. I've put up a number of running posts, followed by some pictures, of last week's HCCA convention and tour in Sierra Vista, AZ. Maybe they'll tide you over until the snow melts and the salt washes away.Gil Fitzhugh, Morristown, NJ
Binger
I drive my 1970 Chevy truck every day! But seriously I did drive my 1910 Overland 1914 Buick and 1950 Chevy for a bit about 3 weeks ago. with the nice weather I may be able to go for a quick spin again this weekend. Perhaps I will take the 30 chev or the model A roadster for a quick Jaunt.
Guest crosley51
Got the Benz out this morning for a test run after the new timing chain and rails. We needed to revive this thread anyway.
Buicknutty
Took the '41 Roadmaster for a quick spin last night, after some more tuning work, and it ran great! Promising to be a nice day here in Toronto, so I'll either take the '41 or my old faithful, the '56 Roadmaster to a cruise night about 15 miles or so out of town. A great way to celebrate the arrival of summer!Keith
GLong
I took the '15 Chandler to a local church's car show last weekend, the proceeds go toward a building fund for the church. Very few original cars there, and none built before 1940 except for my Chandler. So it got a lot of attention. It was the longest run I've taken the Chandler on since I acquired the car. It performs well, but I have plenty of 'sorting out' to do yet. GLong
Marty Roth
Drove the 1914 Buick all week long on the AACA Reliability Tour in Pennsylvania Dutch Country based in Lancaster - a hilly and exciting week with about 500 miles of serious driving. No problems other than really working the brakes hard. The Buick received her "CENTURY CLUB - 100 Years and Counting" Badge, presented by our AACA National President. oldcarfudd
Great pictures, Marty! I drove my 1907 one-lung Cadillac on the short Creepy-Crawly tours that were an adjunct to the Reliability Tour. Only about 230 miles. Got the oldest driver award - not something I was aspiring to! Also got the 100-year plaque from Don Barlup - as did lots of other folks, since the newest car on the tour was a young whipper-snapper of 99. Good fun!Gil Fitzhugh the Elder, Morristown, NJ
Guest Peter Bird
My truck gets to go on road trips these days, usually on the back of a tow truck. Just got it back from sitting in a smash repair shop waiting on getting some work done for the past three months. They never touched it. I rang every few weeks, not wanting to bother them that much and the last time I rang I asked for the boss and guy on phoe said he was nowhere to be seen but I heard him talking in the background, so I got my old girl outta there. At least she was on the road for a little while....sheesh!

It was indeed a pleasure to be given an award for having trailered our '14 Buick - usually such awards are for folks who drive to the event, but Dale & I were delighted to be recognized, and among the dedicated "Brass" members of both HCCA and AACA. We are, of course, long-time members of both groups since the 1970s.
