My daughter and the Reatta

My 19 year old daughter has always ridden in the old Buick's from day one - has enjoyed them, but has never really showed a great interest in them. When i told my son and daughter I was getting a Reatta she yelled out "First Ride" so this eve she came over and we did just that. She was the first to get to ride in it. She was so excited with it, couldn't believe the functions and technology that was in the Reatta - she said it has more stuff than her new car. So on our ride I pulled over and said she gets to be "first other driver" also. She did not hesitate, and jumped at the chance to drive it. She was all smiles the whole way home. When she was done playing with all the gadgets she said - this one is mine someday. She said, i could actually drive one of these everyday, I like it much better than my L L Bean Forester lol. So latent Buick tendencies have surfaced thanks to the Reatta.

I can understand her enjoyment and smile driving it - it is one of the best driving cars I have ever had the pleasure of piloting.

I think the secret Jim is to get a car that they will feel comfortable in. I bought a 61 Skylark once that my ex-wife loved to drive, whereas she wouldn't drive one of the larger ones unless she absolutely had to.
