Rooney3100
Hello, I hoping someone can help me with this question...My 1956 Chevy truck restoration is complete and I need to move it out of the attached garage I have, I live in the northeastern side of Lower Michigan and I do need to get an enclosed trailer to take this to some nice shows, I can't build another garage at this time because of my job security, I was thinking of just storing the truck in a trailer all year around, we do get cold weather in the winter months along with plenty of snow, the summers are getting hotter also...Does anyone have any info they could share about year round storage in an enclosed trailer? I do plan on getting one that is fully finshed on the inside, is there a way of climate controlling it? West Peterson
Nice restoration! I'm not so sure of the merits of using an enclosed trailer for year-around storage. I'd probably do it, but not with a freshly restored vehicle. You want to make sure rodents can't get in, or have some type of defense system. Moisture is probably going to be your biggest problem, as there will be no air movement. We have a cottage on Hubbard Lake, not far from you. I love that side of the state. Very peaceful, because it's not crowded.
Ben Bruce aka First Born
Climate control should be doable, as in an RV trailer. Beautiful truck. Ben

Curti
I sometimes store a vehicle in my enclosed trailer both Summer and winter. My trailer seals tight, so I have never had a rodent problem. It does get VERY hot in an enclosed trailer in the summer. As stated above there is no ventliation.
Rooney3100
Thanks everyone for the Nice comments, there must be a way of ventilating and climate controling a trailer for all seasons, especially if it is fully finished on the inside, has anyone ever used the Car bubble in a trailer? Guest my3buicks
Venting is easy, there are any number of types of roof vents for travel trailers, some with fans some without - there are also covers available for them that they can be left open in all weather and even when traveling. They are easy to install.

Guest my3buicks
the floor is called beavertail - Haulmark is always a safe bet. You should be able to find a good used one with all your needs and safe alot of money - even if you have to travel a bit to get it, it would be well worth it. R Walling
Don't waste your money buying a brand new trailer. There are plenty of like new trailers for sale for over a $1000 saveings. Place a roof vent in it that can be left open with out getting rain inside. I use a home power vent with a round rain dome on it. I leave it open in my camper all year round. Buy one that has a side door that is located at the door of the truck and drive the truck in. Make sure that is a 102" wide trailer.
