Balancing a 401

Are there advantages to balancing a 401 in a 65 Riv? It's street driven and not going to the track. Also, would you recommend line boring? Thanks for the assistance!

For an extra $100 or so why not have it done. If you turn up the performance up one day you will not have to worry about the short block, and you can be sure there are less nasty harmonics. <P>A lot of reman shops do the line bore as a matter of standard procedure. I would not do it unless it was indicated, or the crank was tight in the journals.
