Pete Phillips
Four-door hardtop with very nice body and trim on ebay right now. Car has the fairly rare Flight Pitch (triple turbine) Dynaflow. Not my car, but a nice project for someone.Buick : Roadmaster loaded in Buick | eBay Motors Pete Phillips
Guest BJM
Very cool. Enjoyed the photos. Grille looks nice as is, saving a lot.

Glassesguy
Adam and Others: Notice this car has some of the early features on the instument panel vs later ones. The "crash pad" has a pointed front vs. the more rounded one used later. The cover housing the radio speaker appears to be a painted one vs the padded one used later. The power window switches have the chrome trim around the button vs the fully painted ones used later. I was never able to document the change points as I found no info in the Product Service Bulletins or the Buick Parts Product Information Bulletins I used when I had 5 Limiteds back in the 70's and 80's. In the engine bay, the air cleaner does not have the raised cone shaped section in the center of the top used on later ones. This change was made due to a problem with rainwater pooling in the top center around the threaded shaft, then running down the shaft into the carburetor. A plug was issued to fix the early ones. Good luck on this Adam. Please keep us posted on the Limited.
buick man
You know - Believe I saw this car about 2 weeks ago on one of my car selling sites I romp around in. It looks like they cleaned it up a bit since then. Think they were asking around $ 2,000 for at that time. Perhaps some sleezebayor bought it and is using the same photos to flip it.? Pete Phillips
Dave Rex,Thanks for pointing out those differences! Very interesting. The only thing I noticed was what looks like a chrome strip along the top third of the glove box door, which is usually all padded vinyl. Sounds like you could write a very knowledgeable article on early versus late '58 Buick changes. Hint-hint.Pete Phillips, BCA #7338
Smartin
Pete, the Roadmaster and Limited had the chrome pad with smaller vinyl padded strip on top of the chrome piece. All other series had only the padded vinyl piece, no chrome.I might have been a little high on price estimate for this one...my number was for a car that runs. This one might, but as is not running. I'm still bidding on it...kind of scared since it's a no-reserve auction;)
Glassesguy
Confirming what Adam said about the chrome and padding on the glove box door.
