caf
Hi guys, just returned from Bakersfield Swap Meet and what great meet it was. Very well organized and the area was nicely clipped grass. It was much larger than several years ago, which was the last time I went. Many beautiful cars on display including about 5 Tourist autos built in Los Angeles. Of course you have to realize that it is a pre 15 swap meet so many members might find it boring. I myself love the early stuff so it was like going back in time about 25 years!! I don' know about Chickasha or Keene NH but for the west coast, this one is really great. Don't miss it next year if you like early cars and parts. I didn't realize that there is still a lot of brass, and early parts out there.
1937hd45
Thanks for the report, good to know that brass cars are alive and well out there. There will be an all brass (pre 1916) meet in Pennsylvania later this year. I'll post the dates when I get them.
29 Chandler
I'll agree it was a great meet! The highlight for me were the pair of Stanley Steamers driving aroung the grounds. I have pictures I can post of some of the nice old cars if someone will tell me how.<BR>Chris
