Guest Posted June 3, 2001 Share Posted June 3, 2001 I have a '73 Buick 455, In my '56 chevy street rod pickup.My ? is will '72 and earlier intake,and headers fit my engine.Or did'73 and later change completly. Straycat Posted June 4, 2001 Share Posted June 4, 2001 1973 intakes had EGR and AIR emission controls. None of the aftermaket intake manifolds have provisions for these, except for Poston's S-divider which has EGR. Might not be a big deal for you.<P>You might have to plug the AIR holes on the cylinder heads along the intake manifold mating surface depending on the aftermarket intake and intake gasket you purchase.<P>Sorry, but I don't know the different gasket part numbers.<P>As for aftermarket headers for a Buick 455 that would fit a 56 chevy pickup...I don't have a clue on that one.<p>[ 06-04-2001: Message edited by: Straycat ] Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
