1946 fluid drive

I am trying to find any info i can on a 1946 Fluid drive 2-door coupe. I need to know anything at all that anybody can give me so that i can make the decison or weather to restore the car to origanal, or to build a street rod out of it. this paticular car was a officers car from teh Navel base in Hastings Ne. at least i am led to beleive this by the Officers sticker in the front window. any help would be wonderful. thank you.

Chrysler, Desoto or Dodge? <BR>Any pics you could post or a vin# to aid ID?

oh yes sorry, it's dodge and my buddy has the vin number, i'll get it and post it tomarrow

yeah, my friend ran across the same thing, no base in Hastings........I'm confussed, but maybe we are reading the sticker wrong, it is badly weather worn

There was a base in Hastings, Nebraska. It was a Marine base, but they called it a Naval Base. It was an ammunition depot. It was in operation during WWII until the late 40's.<P>Dan
