Guest rodfraser
Please , are there any members who have had experience of the auto gearbox on a F38.I have not been able to drive the car more than a few yards forward , when what appears to be the transmission winding up and bringing the car to a halt , it feels like the brakes are being slowly applied . If I dont push the clutch in the car will stall. All the brake cylinders , drums and linings have been renewed so I am sure their not binding, Since buying the car it has not been driven. i have changed the gearbox oil with the correct 30 grade as recommended to no avail.many thanks Rod Fraser England UK
rocketraider
Rod, if you haven't already, I suggest posting this in the Buick section as the Automatic Safety Transmission was more common on Buicks than Oldsmobiles. Maybe also up in AACA General.
