Guest studepeople
I am hoping someone with prewar Cadillac knowledge can help me with the headlite switch on my 41' 62 series. How does one remove it? I see no easy way to remove the knob so then I can remove the bessel and then the switch . I have worked on all the mechanicals ,and can't find anything in my repair manuals. I am stumped!!!!!!!!.........
5219
Look for a button somewhere on the switch itself. If you press it and hold, you can pull the knob and shaft out of the switch. A lot of them work this way, but I can't remember if 1941 did.
Guest studepeople
There is not a button per say.. more like a flexable clip you push down and then pull shaft out of retaining grove....the trick is how to get to the top of the lite swich and to see what you are doing.......thanks 5219.....you kept me looking.......
