Old26Buick Posted July 15, 2012 Share Posted July 15, 2012 My 27 Buick Standard has about .010" end play on one axle, Is this too much and how to correct it?? Other side has .002" end play. Leif Holmberg Posted July 15, 2012 Share Posted July 15, 2012 Remove the rear axle housing cover and you will see the diffential bearing adjusting nut(and a lock bolt) about 3 inch in diameter on each side of the differential.If it had been as easy as before to put some pictures on this forum I had done it.
