Shop Rat
Yes please post some photos. And are you a member of the AACA? If not then you might want to consider joining. There are many benefits to being a member. One of which is one and a half hours of free research at the AACA Library and Research Center if you need help with the car. Should you decide to take up showing it at some point AACA events are great events but limited to members. You can also join a local Region or Chapter in/near where you live after you are a member of the national AACA. I didn't find a Chapter/Region listed in Charlottesville. But here is the list of the Chapters/Regions for Virginia.[h=2]VIRGINIA[/h]Accomack-Northhampton RegionPresident - John ThorntonPO Box 34Melfa VA 23410Bluestone RegionPresident - Robert CharlesThis email address is being protected from spambots. Shop Rat
..... I plan on joining here as well.I need to find how. Here is the link for the main AACA web page. Antique Automobile Club of AmericaWhen you click on that link it will take you to the main AACA page. Look to the right and you will see a dark block with information about how to join and what some of the benefits of membership are. Once you have your membership number for the national you can join a local Region or Chapter if you choose to. You do not have to join a local club but you do have to join the national club to then join a local Region or Chapter.Welcome to a great hobby with lots of great folks.

Shop Rat
Build a bigger garage than you "think" you will need. And a full bathroom in one is really nice. Doesn't have to be fancy but it is nice to not have to go back and forth through the house when you are wearing dirty/greasy/filthy garage clothes. john2dameron
Susan, Piedmont is Charlottesville area. Keswick is very close to Charlottesville. I used to enjoy going to the shows staged by the Piedmont Chapter. (Incidentally, all of the Virginia and North Carolina area cursed with red clay is Piedmont.) Guest dannym
Dale.i think so.I went on Sunday which is a hour and twenty minutes and hung out with Dad and ask bunches of questions. I really enjoyed the car as well.Dad had it sitting in the front yard which he does so folks that ride up the road can honk the horn and makes him smile.I did crank up the ole 6.1 and it purrs like a kitten.I was tempted to un cap the lake sides but didnt.I am still to take it for a spin.I am still just overwhelmed.I will give you all the full report when I drive her.Danny

MarrsCars
Congrats, your enthusiasm and excitement come right through the computer screen! What a thoughtful gift and one you clearly will appreciate for what it is and what it means.
