Hi every one,

I just got a Buick skylark convertible 1963, with I think original tyre size 13" . I find it very low on ground:(, what should be the original ground clearance? What is the distance between the edge of the fender and the rim of the wheels ( front and Rear)?

I suspect that with time the springs might be weakenned, or may be some spacers are missing?

Thanks for advice

The Specials and Skylarks with 13-inch tires are quite low to the ground with not much ground clearance. I have owned a couple of them. They are prone to getting dents in the bottom of their fuel tanks because of the low ground clearance. I don't have one now to give you any measurements, but I would say the low ground clearance is normal for these cars, unless they have the optional 15-inch tires and wheels.
