FORD PATCH...what does it say?

Ford introduced a straight 6 to go with the V8 in 1941. The design of this patch is consistent with Ford patches of that era. I still think the most likely meaning of the patch is "Ford 6 & 8", albeit very crudely drawn (especially the "8", which barely narrows in the center and is easily confused for a "0"), and it dates from the 1940s and not the 1930s/V8-60 era.

Ford also brought back the 4 cyl in 1941 so I don't think they would be touting their "6 & 8"

That sentence negates the previous post of yours. So...let me get this right. You think that the numeral on the right is an "8" and not a "0"? And the numeral in the middle is an "&" sign and not an "8"? Just how old are your glasses?

John. I don't know how you got that out of my post. I still think the patch is for a V8-60. I was trying to show Dave Moon why it wasn't a 6&8 from 41.
