Guest Posted March 5, 2001 Share Posted March 5, 2001 I have a custom built sand rail with a 98 3.8 Series II SC engine I currently am modifying...smaller pulley, MAF/Throttle body mods, N2O,.. I have this rear mtd. to a 4T60 t/a. w/remote trans cooler and filter. I still am concerned about the 4T60 holding up with this added power. Can this trans/axle be beefed up? does anyone make an after market performance torque converter? Can the gearing be changed between 1st & second? (It falls off more than it should)Any performance suggestions for the 4T60 would be greatfully appreciated....by the way... the rail weigh's 1700 lbs for what it's worth...
