Award Tabs?

We came home from Cedar Rapids with an HPOF original tab on our Olds. When I mounted the HPOF award after Louisville there were no tabs to win. Does anyone know if an "upside" down tab is available? Mounting it below rather than above is a much nicer install.

Thank you.

Hmmmm. Not sure what you are referring to! The original tap for the HPOF plate mounts exactly like you would have mounted a senior tab to your first junior. Am I missing something?

Thanks for answering Steve. What I am asking is a tab available that mounts under the HPOF award? If I take this tab and turn it over I will need to stand on my head to read it. You know I'm too big for that Steve. I mounted my HPOF tight to the underside of the bumper filler near the front ID plate. No room to sneak the tab in above. Lots of room under. Leave it to me to make it tough. LOL

Thanks, Mark

Mark,

You might reconssider the mounting location.

With the use of a backing plate behind the grille, and with a couple of longer bolts, you could mount the badge and the tab to either side of the Grille.

Congratulations on your beautiful car having attained its HPOF ORIGINAL.

I was busy at the awards table, and by the time I got to where you were sitting after the presentations, you were gone. Sorry we didn't get to visit.

Thanks Marty. We do not seem to ever really sit down and talk. We passed in Louisville, missed you in Oakbrook, and did the same in Cedar Rapids. Have to do better at the next one. I had considered a grill mounting location but decided not to mess with the plastic grill. The car still maintains all those brittle plastic parts that GM built it with. Did not want to do anything to crack or damage it. Maybe I will order another mounting bracket and modify where I bend it. Might be able to sneak the tab in above then. We'll see.
