Curti
I would like to remove the endcaps of the mid 30's Delco lever action shocks. There must be a socket tool with splines to match the end caps. Has anyone ever seen one of these ? There are companys that rebuild these shocks, I wonder if they remove the end caps or just flush out the old fluid. Advice is welcome. Richard1
I'd take one to a tool store. There are weird sockets out there. I used to have one for a weird oil pressure sender.
Curti
When a lever action Shock is sent to rebuilders, does any one know if the shock is completely dissasembled and rebuilt or just a shaft seal replacement to prevent leaking?

Curti
Yes, I am familiar with both businesses. I recieved 'rebuilt' shocks back from one of them, and I believe the end caps were never removed.
