I suspect that if you went to their website it may list it there. Gel cells are available at Batteries Plus. I would also check their website for that exact size. RU22
There is a battery store on Long Beach Blvd south (the ocean is south) of the 405 freeway that will have what you need
Marty Roth
A company called TRACTOR SUPPLY COMPANY has stores just about all over.Their battery is as good as any I've used, and I have that style in both 6-Volt and 12-Volt in my cars from them. They tend to have fresh stock and very good prices. You can check them out on-line at Tractor Supply Company - HomeGood Luck,Marty
R Holden
Hi allI spent a long time on the phone to Tractor Suppy both in Tennessee (where the number directed me to) and directly with the Bakersfield store, they have the battery in a heavey duty model $99.99, which is great, however they are talking $75 (strapped to a pallted by its self!) to ship it to Willimgton Ca 90744 which seems over the top both in methord & $$. Is there a better way to ship the battery? Thanks
nickelroadster
Shipping a battery is like shipping hazardous waste with all that sulfuric acid. I would try to find one near where you are shipping from. Possibly you could get a volunteer to assist you. I would be happy to but am farther away than the tractor supply.
Ben Bruce aka First Born
Try an Interstate Battery store. Ben
Marty Roth
Another alternative might be to have TRACTOR SUPPLY CO. ship you the bare battery, not filled with sulphuric acid. That way it might not have to be considered hazzardous.
Marty Roth
Another thought:I have used the OPTIMA 6-VOLT battery in several of my 6-Volt cars. It is the same length as a Group 1 Battery, but only half the width. It would fit in your application - you could fill the remaining space with spare parts, or just leave it strapped - or you could fit two Optima batteries, and connect them in Parallel to double the already greater amperage, still staying at 6Volt (I did this with one of my cars which seemed to require more amperage until I realized that one of my battery cables was not of sufficient size - has been replaced with OOO-Guage Triple Aught!
