Paul Falabella
Before I bend something what's the trick to getting the right spark plug cover off? Car has A/C w/bracket at forward part of cover.Do I need to remove the studs? And this is with radiator removed! Also left side stud and nut are 9/16" rt. side 1/2". That right? Thanks yet again. old-tank
PaulYou need to remove the rear compressor bracket to get the spark cover off...no other way. The stud should be 5/16-24 (I think) with a domed 5/8 nut. Pictures later if needed. Just be glad you have the spark covers...we'll find the nuts.Willie
Paul Falabella
The front bracket will support the compressor while I paint the cover and change the wires? There is no tension on the belts, the fan and pulleys are off.Thanks.

Paul Falabella
That bracket is bolted on to stay put!Two spark plug cover bolts are domed 5/8" and two are flat 1/2". Someone must have changed the studs along the way. Not that important now.
