Temperature sensor for 41 Lincoln that has been converted to 12V

Hi All,

My 41 Lincoln Cont. Cab has a faulty temperature sensor (mounts on drivers side of engine next to radiator hose). My car has been converted to 12V and the gauges are 12V. This is the first time we are hooking up the gauges - the temp sensor on the car is the original 6V that was not hooked up. Can someone please help?

The Temp gauge is mechanical so it will work no matter what battery you run. There is a place that can fix the original and I will let you know when I find it again. They also fix the old radiator shutter thermostats.

You can put a newer mechanical temp gauge in there and just hide it, I did that also so I know what temp its running instead of just cold or some degree of hot.

Scott, Jim Blanchard here, I used to own your car back when I was just 16 years old. I bought it from a guy in Detroit name Bob Getchow (sp). I sold it to a fellow from Evansville Indiana. His wife didn't like old cars and I don't think he ever did any thing with it- is that where you got it? Could you please send me photos of it unrestored and what it looks like now? Thank you. Jim. Thanks Scott, any pics of the dash? It sure is great seeing photos of this car again - amazing that its still as I remember it. I will try to find you a shot from the early 1980s when I owned it. It was parked in my shop next to a 1941 Lincoln Custom limo...
