455 rebuild

I'm sending a '70 455 to the machine shop soon. In the rebuild I'd like to use .040" Felpro head gaskets to drop the compression down a little to make it more 92 octane gas friendly. Since the valve train is non-adjustable, is there enough preload in the lifters to accomodate the thickness difference or will I have to put adjustable components in the valve train?
