I have a 1946 super Sedanette and I'm sorry to say it has been 4 years since my transmission was rebuilt. So now i have the motor and trans finaly in and i install the front motor mounts then move to the rear trans mount and xmember, so far so good. But now the story takes a turn. I have a bag of nuts and bolts for the mount in the middle and i have the mount it's self. But the trans does not have anywhere to bolt the mount to. The trans fits everywhere else but no place to mount the rear motor mount thats bolts to the trans face. Can i possibly be missing something? Did i get the wrong trans back(4 years ago)? Is there a trans that is the same but does not use a mount in the middle. Any insight would be a help. Olddoublem

one thought i had was maybe the trans i got was from a year that didn't use the rear motor mount (bolts to the front of trans).

Straight Eight, My Problem is with the case. The front seems to need two more holes for a mount. Thanks for trying

Are you talking about the rear engine mount that actually mounts to the front of the trans case? 41-47 Buicks used a single mount at the rear of the bellhousing/fornt of trans.

Yes, I am. My problem is the trans i have dose not have anywhere to bolt the mount.
