Just wondering if anyone has the following set-up on their 70-72 GS.
Front: 235-60-15 BFGs
Rear: 275-60-15 BFGs
I just bought this set, but the 275s look like they have a super tall sidewall...almost like a truck tire. The tires have not been installed yet.
Also, if you have photos, please let me know ASAP!
Thanks,
Steve

Steve, I have the 245/60's on the front with the 275/60's on the rear. These are on the 15x7 Buick rallyes and I have no problem at all with them rubbing etc and this is with the car sitting at stock height. The 275's are about 28 inches tall, they fill the wheel well nice and even in hard cornering they do not rub. I have enough space between the wheel well and rear tires that I can put my fingers between the two. If you keep with the standard backspacing(I beleive its 4 1/2 inches) you should have no problem. The 245's are the new size for the old G60's(old designation for us old folks) and the 275's are the size for the old L60's. I hope this helps. The G60's were an option on those years. You will have no trouble with the 235's(they are equivalent to the F60's) I would not go any bigger than 275's on the 7 inch rims .
bill g

[This message has been edited by grisby (edited 01-04-2001).]
