'51 Special
I need what buick refers to as a "release rod nut lock." This lock fits on the small end of the clutch fork ("clutch release yoke"), and is a spring steel pair of fingers. The piece is about 2.75" long, and a bit less than 1" wide at the widest. The same small bolt that holds it to the fork also holds the leather boot that fits into the bell housing.Per advice of others, the same device is used on all I-8s from 1939 through 1952, and also on Special I-8s and V-8s through 1955.
