dneivandt
I am trying to repair the rumble seat latch of my 1930 Dodge DC-8 Coupe. The latch that I have is missing the bolt, and the spring. I have borrowed a 1931 latch so that I can copy the bolt and manufacture a new one, but the spring mounting is different (The 1931 version has the spring mounted on a post external to the cover over the bolt). Does anybody have a latch the same as the one in the photos who could tell me what type of spring I should use and how it mounts? The mounting plate is stamped SWISS within an oval, and below this is Pat. Applied For. The same latch was used on the 1930 DeSoto CF-8. Any help would be greatly appreciated. sincerely,David
