Thanks for the compliments - the site is for all of you.

I meant to tell everyone that we have 1964 - 1967 Chassis Service Manuals loaded with 1969 - 1973 to be loaded this month.

We have lots of Ads and Brochures for Buicks as well. All are fully restored to "as new" condition.

All are downloadable in PDF format. Have at it.

Bob:

As I had previoulsy indicated I was happy to learn of the web site and the fact that the manual had been down loaded. For me the down side is that the data was from a newer manual and does not include much on the early 40's/50's Buicks. If the opportunity arises it would be nice to have access to an earlier printing.

Thanks again,

Gary

Whenever GM does a parts book with that large range of model years, all of the earlier stuff is not in them, with the obvious bias being more toward the later models covered.

In order to get the desired coverage for the earlier models will take parts books with printing dates similar to the earlier model years. In many cases, those earlier books were "chunked" when they became "past their prime" or the particular dealership had no reason to keep them any more . . . OR they were taking up too much space. This is an observed "highly variable situation" as there might have been somebody who bird-dogged those earlier books and "re-appropriated" them to a safer venue.

Some might appear on the internet auction websites, for sale, or on literature vendor websites, for sale. Not quite like "Abra cadabra . . . TRI-SHIELD!" and they appear.

To me, the worst thing about the earlier Buick parts manuals was the "decode" for the model's covered, or "series" number. But then were the various "decodes" for Chevys in their own parts books, too.

Just some thoughts,

We are working on acquiring an earlier Buick Parts Manual - we will announce it here when we post it, however, if you sign up for the newsletter at Wild About Cars (Twice a Month) you will receive immediate notification.

PS. we have just loaded the 1969 Buick Service Manual Wild About Cars Login Page

It's not related to AACA, so you need to register with a new ID and password.

You can re-use your AACA ID and such if you desire, just that you have to register as it's a free-standing website. The small amount of time that takes is well worth it for the content (present AND growing) that's there. There's still a lot of stuff that can be there, too! Sometimes, getting to the neat stuff can be a little frustrating as you navigate through the menus or you find a gap in the coverage. Still, some great stuff is already there!

I know that you'll enjoy it when you get there, "The Old Guy".

Take care,
