Guest shadetree77
Thanks for posting this. I've been thinking of buying one of these for a while. However, I am a little confused. I downloaded all of the sections and after looking through some of it I don't understand how this is supposed to be all models 1940-1972. How did they decide what to include? A lot of information is just not there. For instance, if you look at the section that lists upper radiator hoses, it only goes back to 1954. That's just one example. Most of the parts listings end in random years from the 60's. That's not just on certain parts found only on newer years. It's on common things like radiator hoses, water pumps, etc. So again I ask, how can this book cover all of those years when a ton of info. is MIA? Guest shadetree77
Ok, I just read the fine print. It says that "Since this manual was issued in 1972, this does not necessarily include all OEM parts that came on the car, only ones that were still available from Buick to their dealers as of February 1972." Now it makes sense as to the large amounts of missing info. for cars older than the 60's.
Guest 60electra225
Yes, you need to find one as close to your year of vehicle as possible to have any chance of getting a "complete" parts manual, or the actual year of course.
