Anyone going to watch the show on Velocity this evening ?

And just shows how faulty memory from a long time ago can be, had the names and cars rite but facts rong.

At least when all of the tires/wheels went everwhere at Indy ten years later, the giant screen kept them out of the crowd.

while programming my dvr for the week, i noticed that the show will be on several times this week.

Somehow it all stuck in my memory from when a kid, Pierre launching off Lance Maclin's much slower AH and shrapnelling the crowd.

Anyone going to watch the show on Velocity this evening ? Bottom line was no-one should have ever been allowed to try to go for 24 hours at racing speeds particularly in a Merc without relief. So misjudging a Boston Beany was not unlikely.

Totally agree with you, I really like Velocity, and I really like Wayne Carini and the shows he does Chasing Classic Cars.
