Guest northmn Posted June 6, 2012 Share Posted June 6, 2012 Could someone tell me if the gas tank in these cars originally came painted, galvanized, tinned, etc? If they where painted could you post a picture or give me some idea of the color and shade they originally where? Here are some pictures you might enjoy of my frame off restoration so far. This is the first and most likely the last restore I will ever do. I have found it much more than a hobby and really should have sent it to a fully equipped restoration shop that has all the fancy equipment especially a proper paint booth and rotisserie. Don McClair Posted June 11, 2012 Share Posted June 11, 2012 Bob, Eastwood makes a product called Tank Tone and it basically is a little different from the Argent that was used on the Chevrolet Rally wheels and others.
