Guest libertycanvas
I own a canvas and upholstery shop in Rochester, NY. Customer just left off a 1937 Packard 120 for a convertible top installation. Top frame was off car and not assembled. Top of main wood bow over rear window curtain has a 90 degree on one side and the other side has a radius. Can someone tell me whether the radius side of the bow faces the front of the car or the rear when installed on the irons (frame). Thanks,Jim Liberty Canvas and Upholstery
trimacar
I don't know specifically about a Packard 120, but in my experience the radius should be to the rear of the car. This allows the rear curtain to have a smoother transition from top of bow down. The sharper edge of the 90 degree to the front of the car will be partially eliminated by the pad on each side and the part between pads is at the top of the car and not seen.
