66 GS motor swap ?

I have a 66 Skylark GS convt. and am interested in putting in a 1971 455. It currently has a 340 + 3-speed automatic from a 67 LeSabre in it. I am not sure what transmission that would be (TH 300?). I am considering purchasing a 1971 455 and want to make sure that it is a good choice for me. Any info. I can get on this motor swap would be appreciated. I want to make sure it is an easy swap.
