STuTZ693 Posted June 1, 2012 Share Posted June 1, 2012 Help!Can anyone tell me the thread size for the inlet of the carb. There was an 1/8" NPT fitting connecting the filter to the carb and the previous owner had it packed the carb end with teflon tape. The 1/8" NPT fitting is too loose in the carb base.I have not been able to figure our the correct fitting for the carb to go from the female 1/8" NPT in the filter to the carb. The carb inlet appears to be a straight 3/8" - 24 female thread. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
rb6673 Posted June 14, 2012 Share Posted June 14, 2012 That is the correct size but 1/8" pipe thread is tapered and over the years people would tighten it a little more everytime it leaked and it spread the bore more open now than originally.You can Heli-coil it.
