Dave Mellor NJ
I have a Chrysler round front axle. It is presently part of a trailer which includes a 33-34 +/- Chevy pickup box and rear fenders. I remember last year there was somebody desparately looking for one of these axles. I'm thinking of breaking it up and selling the components if there's any interest.I'd also like to know what years Chrysler products used this axle. It has the left hand threads on one wheel. ply33
For Plymouth, I think that 1933 is the only year for the tubular front axle. Pretty sure the '32 had a I-beam axle. '34 PE and PF had independent front suspension. I believe the '34 PG and the '35 PJs were I-beam axles.

36 D2 Coupe
1936 Dodge and all the Chrysler and DeSoto Airflows have tubular front axles. We'll need more details to see which cars it may fit. These got stripped out of cars at wrecking yards very regularly to build small trailers.Jim

Dave Mellor NJ
Different opinions range from 26 to 36. What year started the left hand threads on one wheel? It has studs, not bolts.

It has studs, not bolts. At least on Plymouth it seems that left hand threads came and went and came again.I believe that left hand threaded studs came in on the PA in '31 and were used on stud applications (artillery wheels) through '33. But starting in '32 with the wire wheels right hand threaded bolts were used. Then in 1940 they started using left hand threaded bolts on one side. Sometime later (after '48) they went back to studs.
